About Dan Simon

Mr. Simon attended Kalamazoo Valley College for two years and then transferred to Western Michigan University where he earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He completed coursework for his master's degree at Central Michigan University.

About Joe Schuitema

Mr. Schuitema's father inspired him to become a teacher and coach. He graduated from Grand Valley State University and earned his teaching certificate from Michigan State. Before coming to Grant, Mr. Schuitema coached at Colorado College and Northern Michigan University. He has served as athletics director, elementary principal, and high school assistant principal.

Mr. Maksimchuk is from Calumet, on the Upper Peninsula. He graduated from Michigan Tech and began teaching in Grant until 2015. His hobbies include sailing and hiking.

About Kyle Morrison

Mr. Morrison didn't start out in the education field, but he loves it! From 1990 to 2004, he pursued careers in hospitality, banking, and retail management. He eventually went back to school and graduated with his third bachelor's degree and a teaching certificate in 2006. He spent the first few years helping students with career placement before jumping into the classroom in 2015.
