Mr. Morrison

My name is Kyle Morrison and I teach Multi-Media, Personal Finance, PLTW Engineering, and Internship courses here at Grant High School. I graduated from Alpena High School and went on to graduate from Ferris State University in Business Management/Administration and Accounting/Finance.  From 1990-2004, I pursued many different careers.  I was a certified registered chef and restaurant manager from 1990-1996, a project manager for Family Video Corporation from 1996-2000, and a bank manager/financial advisor from 2000-2004.  It was with the bank that I decided to get into the educational field, and went back to school for my third bachelor’s degree.  I graduated with my bachelor’s degree and teacher certification in December of 2006, after completing my student teaching at Holland High School.

Over the past 10 years in the educational field, I was the Career Placement Coordinator at the Newaygo County Career-Tech Center from 2007-2012 when I was promoted to building principal.  I held that position until July of 2015 when I decided to get back and teach in the classroom.

I have a wonderful wife (Carrie) and two children (Elana and River).
